In my EDC 317 class I learned about khanacademy and the positive affects it can have in a middle school classroom for both the student and instructor. Uploaded is an image from the reports screen in khanacademy that allows you to see how well your students do in different areas of mathematics. The Image shows that a majority of the class is yet to master the quadratic equation. This has helped my cooperating teacher and myself to understand that more time needed to be given in this area so the students can reach mastery. Khanacademy has been great so far and the students have responded to it great and with the ability to tie problems it offers to the core standards really helps the teachers.
